These terms govern your use of eldertales.in. By using Elder Tales, you agree to them.
Using Elder Tales
Elder Tales provides stories, reading tools, and community story submissions for personal and family use. You may read without an account. Features such as saving, bookmarking, private reflection, and submitting stories require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in details secure.
Stories and illustrations
Elder Tales publishes original retellings, public-domain source material, licensed material, and reader submissions. The selection and presentation of Elder Tales content, including original text, design, and illustrations, may not be copied or commercially redistributed without permission unless a page states otherwise. Cultural, devotional, and literary stories are offered for reading and reflection rather than as historical, legal, medical, or religious advice.
Stories you submit
You keep ownership of an original story you submit. By choosing to publish it, you give Elder Tales a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, format, moderate, and distribute that story as part of the service. You confirm that you wrote the story or have permission to share it, and that it does not violate another person’s rights or disclose private information without permission. Private drafts are visible only through your account unless you publish them.
Acceptable use
Do not use Elder Tales to break the law, impersonate someone, harass others, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious material, or publish unlawful, hateful, exploitative, or infringing content. We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect readers, rights holders, or the service.
Third-party services
Sign-in, analytics, database, and hosting functions are provided partly by Google, Supabase, and Hostinger. Their own terms may apply when you use those services. Elder Tales is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
Availability and responsibility
We work to keep Elder Tales accurate, safe, and available, but the service is provided as available and may occasionally change or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Elder Tales is not liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms as Elder Tales develops. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms for future use.
